Privacy Policy
HomeMovieCam is designed for private memories. The app does not require an account, does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not sell personal data.
Information HomeMovieCam Uses
HomeMovieCam asks for camera and microphone access so you can record camcorder-style videos. Camera and microphone data is used to create recordings on your device.
If you allow Photos access, HomeMovieCam saves finished recordings to your photo library. The in-app tape library is stored locally in the app's own container on your device.
What We Do Not Collect
- No HomeMovieCam account is required.
- We do not collect your videos on our servers.
- We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell or share personal data for advertising.
- We do not require cloud upload for the tape library.
Local Tape Library
The tape shelf, tape names, scene metadata, thumbnails, and app-owned video copies are stored locally on your device. Deleting tapes or clips in the app removes them from the app-owned local library. Copies saved to Photos are managed separately in the Photos app.
Photos
HomeMovieCam may save finished videos to Photos after you grant permission. Photos is a copy destination, not the backend for the in-app tape shelf.
Purchases
HomeMovieCam Pro is purchased through Apple's StoreKit system. Apple processes the payment. HomeMovieCam uses purchase entitlement information to unlock Pro features and may cache that entitlement locally so Pro remains available offline.
Children's Privacy
HomeMovieCam is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can help.
Changes
We may update this policy as HomeMovieCam changes. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version.
